We are delighted to share that we have been awarded £10,000 over the next two years from the 29th May 1961 Charitable Trust. This generous contribution will help sustain the core foundations of our organisation and ensure we can continue providing responsive, independent advocacy across Sandwell.

While these core costs often sit behind the scenes, they are essential to everything we do. They enable our advocates to spend meaningful time with children, young people, families and vulnerable adults. Listening carefully, building trust and helping people navigate situations that can often feel overwhelming or unclear.

For more than thirty years, we have been a consistent and trusted part of the community. Every day, we support people facing a wide range of challenges, from young carers balancing responsibilities beyond their years, to parents navigating complex social care processes, to older adults adjusting to changes in health, independence or housing. We also continue to offer connection and reassurance through services such as Sandwell Together, where regular telephone befriending calls provide comfort and companionship to those who may otherwise feel isolated.

This funding will help keep our service stable during a time when more people are reaching out for support and the situations they face are increasingly complex.  It will reinforce the core structure of our organisation, enabling our advocates to stay focused on what truly matters: being present, attentive and responsive to every individual we support.

We are incredibly grateful to the 29th May 1961 Charitable Trust for their support and for recognising the importance of advocacy in helping people feel heard, understood and confident in making decisions about their lives.
