The PAGE Project:
New Phase 2026–2029

Advocacy. Skills. Empowerment.

The PAGE Project (Parents, Advocacy, Guidance and Empowerment) has entered a new phase (2026–2029), building on its success between 2022 and 2025. Thanks to continued funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we will continue to support parents with a learning disability and/or autism for a further three years.

Under the leadership of the Communities in Sync (CIS) consortium, PAGE works in partnership with Sandwell Advocacy and Ideal for All to deliver holistic support that empowers parents and improves family outcomes in Sandwell.

What PAGE offers

PAGE provides dual support for parents involved with Children’s Services, from Early Help Assessment through to court proceedings:

  1. Independent Advocacy (provided by Sandwell Advocacy)

Our Independent Advocacy Practitioner builds a trusted, user-led relationship with parents, supporting them to:

  • Understand what is happening when engaging with statutory services, including child protection or court proceedings
  • Explore options and make informed decisions
  • Have a voice and be enabled to speak up
  • Ensure their views and wishes are heard and considered
  • Be placed at the centre of decisions affecting their lives and families
  1. Independent Wellbeing Officer (provided by Ideal for All)

Delivered through practical, hands-on one-to-one and group sessions, this support focuses on early help and prevention. Parents receive personalised guidance in areas including:

  • Emotional wellbeing and mental health support
  • Managing daily routines and developing independent living skills
  • Accessing essential services such as housing, debt support, food banks, or domestic abuse services
  • Building confidence, reducing isolation, and reconnecting with community resources

Our Approach

  • Person-centred and strengths-based
  • Early intervention and prevention-focused
  • Co-produced with lived experience at the heart
  • Collaborative multi-agency working to meet parents’ needs
