Bereavement and Wellbeing Service

The Birmingham and Wellbeing Service offers support to anyone who has suffered bereavement throughout Birmingham.  This service is being delivered under the auspices of the Communities in Sync Consortia in partnership with Crossroads Caring for Carers, Ideal for All and Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation.  Person-centered support is provided by a trained Bereavement Officer.

The Project is able to:

  • Provide tailored confidential support to people in Birmingham who are experiencing bereavement.
  • Provide emotional wellbeing and practical support over a 12 week period.
  • Signposting to other specialist services where appropriate.
  • Living Memory Project operating as part of this service to record either their own life story, or that of their loved one, alongside their own set of photographs.  Each story is published as a small professionally printed booklet as a lasting memory.
