We are delighted to announce that the Housing Advocacy Support Service (HASS) has been awarded a £1,000 grant from the Tipton & Coseley Charitable Foundation.
The funding will help support HASS, an independent housing advocacy service established in April 2025 to assist vulnerable residents across Sandwell who are experiencing housing difficulties. The service was created to address a significant gap in independent housing advocacy, helping people navigate complex housing systems, understand their rights, and make informed decisions about their housing situation.
HASS provides one-to-one, person-centred support for people facing a range of housing issues, including homelessness, unsuitable accommodation, landlord disputes, repair concerns, overcrowding, and housing-related adaptation needs. The service works closely with local partners including Sandwell Council Housing Solutions, Adult Social Care, Shelter, health services, and voluntary sector organisations.
This valuable contribution will help us continue delivering specialist advocacy to residents who may otherwise struggle to access the support they need.
We would like to thank the Trustees and team at the Tipton & Coseley Charitable Foundation for their support and recognition of the importance of independent housing advocacy within our local community.
