Celebrating Continued Support for Young Carers

Young Carer

We are delighted to celebrate the continued funding from Sandwell Children’s Trust for another 12 months, enabling us to strengthen and expand our Advocacy Project for Young Carers. This vital support ensures that young carers across Sandwell will continue to have a voice, access to guidance, and the opportunity to thrive despite the challenges they face.

Young carers often take on significant responsibilities at home, balancing caring duties with education, friendships, and their own wellbeing. Advocacy plays a crucial role in ensuring their needs are understood, their voices are heard, and their rights are upheld. Through dedicated support, young carers gain confidence, feel less isolated, and are better equipped to navigate education, health, and social care systems.

The impact of this service is profound. By empowering young people to speak up and access the support they deserve, we are helping to improve outcomes in education, emotional wellbeing, and future opportunities. This funding allows us to continue building trusting relationships, raising awareness, and creating a community where young carers feel valued and supported.

Our work continues to demonstrate meaningful impact, supporting young carers to build confidence, improve emotional resilience, remain engaged in education, and navigate complex family situations. Advocacy remains a consistent, trusted presence, particularly for those facing safeguarding challenges or longer-term needs.

We are incredibly grateful to Sandwell Children’s Trust for their ongoing commitment to improving the lives of young carers.
