Sandwell Advocacy

Volunteers June Event

On the 3rd June 2025, Sandwell Advocacy provided a healthy afternoon tea for all of our volunteers to celebrate National Volunteers Week.  The event was a great success with over 20 attendees, who enjoyed a healthy afternoon tea and a get together to chat about their experiences of volunteering with the charity, whilst various activities which are available at Langley Park Lodge were promoted.

Also present was Kim Fuller – Growing Participation & Volunteering Mentor – SCVO and Raman Susch – Public Health Development Officer – Oldbury – Sandwell Public Health, gave presentations on the great impact that volunteers give to the community and the various health projects that are available in the Sandwell area, respectively.

Our team would like to pay special thanks to SCVO – Vision 2030 Community Grants – Sandwell’s Big Lunch 2025 grant, which provided the funds for this event. Furthermore, Langley Park Lodge for their great hospitality and Jenny’s Kitchen, who delivered a first-class buffet to the venue. And finally, a big thank you for the small gifts to the volunteers which were donated by Sandwell Crematorium Fund.

Our charity is always looking for help and support. To find out more about volunteering with Sandwell Advocacy, please visit our volunteering page.
